What were the greatest revolutions of all time? What were the outcomes of these revolutions? What are different reasons that these revolutions came about? How do the theories of Marx, and the prediction of the communist revolution relate to the revolutions that have already occurred? To what limits can people be pushed before they revolt? What were some great political resolutions that have impacted society greatly? What were the outcomes of these peaceful resolutions? What are the reasons that these resolutions are carried out? What has a better outcome a peaceful resolution or a chaotic revolution? Who gets it done, peacemakers, or chaotic mobs?

I like the idea of your research paper arguing the cause and effect of both courses. It would be interesting to read your thoughts of how the past conflicts have set the current and future foreign policies of nations. It would be interesting to see how the involvement of "secret revolutions/resolutions" were used in achieving ones political goals. An example, that comes to mind is the foreign relationship betweent Iran and the United States. The United States was invovled in helping the British remove the Prime Minister of Iran(who favored democracy and Nationalism)in order to protect the British's oil rights, power, and influence in Iran. The result of the coup only made conditions worse for poverty strictened citizens of Iran, and led to futher conflicts with the United States in the mid to late 70's.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the question that you pose is great. I can't wait to hear more about both sides because I know minimal information on revolutions and/or peaceful resolution. The only advice I have is that you could get some useful information on peaceful resolution by studying Ghandi and the Indian National Congress and the African American's million man march in Washington D.C.
